You will
doubtlessly understand that we cannot rent the complex telescope in the dome to
inexperienced newcomers. If you would like to make a reservation for the dome
and instrument, please contact the Technical Manager of Rooisand Observatory,
Wolfgang Paech, by email to discuss
details. You can also download the written regulations on the use of the
observatory in pdf format (approx. 90Kb).
Newcomers to the wonderful
hobby of astronomy are, however, welcome at any time to use our portable
telescopes, their optical accessories and the Vixen Atlux mount without any
restrictions.
We offer special rates for astronomer guests who book a minimum
of three nights. Contact us and we
will gladly quote you. Of course we can also serve a late breakfast and an
early dinner for you and provide a "lunchbox" for later at night.
